The Brazilian College of Animal Reproduction (CBRA) and the Local Organizing Committee are proud to invite you to participate in the IV International Symposium on Animal Biology of Reproduction (ISABR) to be held on October 17-20th, 2012, in Campinas, state of São Paulo, in the Southeast of Brazil. The previous symposia in this series were focused on testis function and spermatogenesis (ISABR 2006), folliculogenesis, ovulation and luteolysis (ISABR 2008) and Epigenetics (ISABR 2010). This year's symposium (ISABR 2012) will be mainly dedicated to the topic of environment and reproduction.

The ISABR symposia series are unique in Latin America. A trademark of this symposium is to provide a forum for exchange of ideas among reproductive biologists of diverse backgrounds to foster the generation of basic as well as applied knowledge. Such new knowledge can be incorporated into clinical or field situations to enhance fertility and to treat and reduce reproductive dysfunctions and disease. The ISABR 2012 will be an exciting opportunity for scientists, clinicians, embryologists and graduate students from different countries to share experiences in the exciting area of reproductive biology.

The major principle of the ISABR 2012 is to provide the grounds for discussions about basic concepts and cutting-edge technologies in reproductive biology and its interactions with the environment. The scientific program will include original and review presentations on important current and frontier topics related to recent advances related to those topics. Scientific sections will feature internationally recognized speakers and the ISABR 2012 program will also highlight the following lectures: the "Lonnie Russel Lecture", focused on male reproduction, the "Outstanding Latin American Reproductive Biologist Lecture" and the "Frontiers of Science Lecture". In addition, following last year's experience, the 2012 Symposium will have short platform presentations of selected abstracts. Researchers in all areas of reproductive biology are invited to submit their very best research as abstracts for poster and platform presentations. Finally, to make this meeting even more fun and productive, the organizing committee chose the "Hotel Fazenda Solar das Andorinhas" as the official venue for the event. The "Hotel Fazenda" is embedded in beautiful surroundings near the city of Campinas and will offer very comfortable accommodations for conferences as well as leisure activities for attendees and their families. So, the Organizing Committee is looking forward to seeing you in Campinas during the ISABR 2012 !!!
