The Brazilian College of Animal Reproduction (CBRA) and the Local Organizing Committee are proud to invite you to participate in the III International Symposium on Animal Biology of Reproduction (ISABR 2010) to be held October 22-24, 2010, in Águas de São Pedro in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The previous symposia in this series focused on testis function and spermatogenesis (ISABR 2006) and folliculogenesis, ovulation, and luteolysis (ISABR 2008). This year's symposium (ISABR 2010) will have a main focus on the epigenetic control of reproductive processes and biotechnologies. The symposium will be held in honor of Dr. Bruce D. Murphy (Université de Montréal, Canada) and a tribute to his lifetime contributions to reproductive biology.

The ISABR symposia series unique in Latin America. A trademark of this symposium is to provide a forum for exchange of ideas among reproductive biologists of diverse backgrounds to foster the generation of basic as well as applied knowledge. Such new knowledge can be incorporated into clinical or field situations to enhance fertility and to treat and reduce reproductive dysfunctions and disease. The ISABR 2010 will be an exciting opportunity for scientists, clinicians, embryologists, and graduate students from different countries to share experiences in the exciting area of reproductive biology.

The main goal of the ISABR 2010 is to provide basic concepts as well as breakthrough information on epigenetics and its role on animal and human reproduction. The scientific program will include original and review presentations on important current and frontier topics related to recent research advances on epigenetics of reproductive processes in animals and humans. Scientific sessions will feature invited speakers that are internationally recognized for their work in the area of epigenetics. The program is also highlighted by three outstanding lectures: the "Lonnie Russel Lecture", on male reproduction and the brand new "Outstanding Brazilian Reproductive Biologist Lecture" and "Frontiers of Science Lecture". In addition, this year Symposium will have short platform presentations of selected abstracts. Researchers in all areas of reproductive biology are invited to submit their very best research as abstracts for poster and platform presentations. Finally, to make this meeting even more fun and productive, the organizing committee chose the "Grande Hotel" in Águas de São Pedro as the official venue for the event. The Grande Hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for conferences and offers world-class lodging, gastronomy and leisure activities for attendees and their families.
